Many entrepreneurs have become household names. Our society glamorizes, even fetishes, the venture world and all its attendant glories—in no other field does the idea that a single person with a great idea can literally change the world seem more possible.


But there’s a dark side we often don’t talk about: Entrepreneurs are much more likely to suffer from mental health issues than the rest of us.


Founders are:

🔷 Twice as likely to suffer from depression

🔷 3x more likely to suffer from substance abuse

🔷 Twice as likely to have suicidal thoughts

In a survey of 300+ entrepreneurs, Hustle found that 70% of entrepreneurs don’t feel there are enough mental health resources out there. To make matters worse, the COVID-19 pandemic has triggered a 25% increase in the prevalence of anxiety and depression worldwide. (WHO)
