No doubt about it, luck plays a huge role in almost every area of life: health, career, and yes, entrepreneurship.
But don’t make the mistake of thinking it’s just about luck. Luck implies that there’s little or nothing you can do to make it as a founder. And that’s simply not true.
Yes, the odds are stacked against you. And yes, it will be hard. After all, according to multiple sources, only 10% of startups make it.
But that 10% isn't just lucky. In all likelihood, their founders worked hard, honed the right skills, made the right connections, gained the right experience, and cultivated the right mindset so that their chances of being “lucky” would be as high as possible.
So don’t get discouraged (or complacent) by chalking it up to luck.
