Born in a rural mountain town in the Communist world, she achieved her dream by teaching herself English in 4 years so she can come to the US to see the world; Nine years later with two Master's degrees, while experienced through both startups and the corporate world, she is still living her American Dream! James Lo is Co-Founder and CEO at Mana, a platform for everyone to share their passion with 1:1 sessions, live classes, and subscription content.   Mana closed a £1.5M pre-seed round in Jan 2021. Prior to entrepreneurship, James was at SoftBank Vision Fund, where he worked on strategic transformations at WeWork and Arm, and led Social Impact initiatives such as SoftBank’s COVID-19 response and UNICEF/ITU GIGA, an initiative funded by Elon Musk and endorsed by the UN Secretary General to connect every school to the internet.
